As
wee lads all four sons
were given nicknames and
to this very day, we still
call them by those names
of endearment. "Woggy"
is the oldest, then "Paulie",
"Pedro" and last
but certainly not least is
"Gug".
"Woggy"
in his own words is a
"horsepower
junky", if it goes
fast... he loves it! He
also enjoys hockey,
snowmobiling, hunting
and music. He is
happily married to a
wonderful young lady whom
I'm proud to call
'daughter'. They
have a beautiful home,
have no children yet, but
do have a "furchild"
named "Zeus" who
is affectionately called
my "grand-dog".
Sadly
on June 22, 2002, my dear
grand-dog Zeus, lost a
long and difficult battle
against a deadly blood
disease. I have created a
webpage in his memory.
Please stop by here
"Paulie"
enjoys pool, music and
martial arts. He is still
very much a bachelor and I
believe, enjoying it. He
works hard and has a
lovely lady in his life.
"Pedro"
is the artistic one in our
family, is an avid Leaf
fan, loves to play hockey
and is a nighthawk. He was
the third son to marry and
we are so pleased to have
yet another lovely 'daughter'.
His very beautiful bride
joined our family in July
2002 and we all love her
dearly. They have a
bubbly, busy little son
who is the light of my
life.
"Gug"
is our youngest who is
also an avid Leaf fan,
loves to play hockey,
enjoys music, skiing and
snow boarding. He is also
married to a very
wonderful young lady whom
I also take pride in
calling 'daughter'. They
have a beautiful home,
have no "furchildren"
but do have two very
beautiful daughters who
are their grandmother's
pride and joy!

"I
already love in your
beauty, but I am only
beginning to love in you
that which is eternal
and ever precious ~ your
heart, your soul.
Beauty one can get to know
and fall in love with
in one hour and cease to
love it as speedily;
but the soul one must
learn to know."

Hubby
is now fully retired and I
have rejoined the work
force full time as an
Operations Administrator
in a very busy real estate
office..
Officially
"empty-nesters"
, we are enjoying our
time together. We sold our
beautiful Northland home
and now live in a
beautiful, new bungalow on
a ravine lot. Even though
I miss our beloved
Northland Place, we can
still enjoy the
beauty of nature from our
newly acquired home on
wheels, also known as a
trailer. Yes, we have
taken up camping and even
though, I miss the cottage
[terribly], it's an
enjoyable alternative.
All
in all, we both have been
truly blessed with good
health, four sons that do
us proud, many wonderful
friends and many countless
blessings. We have so
much to be thankful for
including our three very
beautiful grandchildren
who are a breath of fresh
air and delight in our
lives.

Last
but not least, I will tell
you about our pets. We
have two. A "furdaughter"
and a "furson".
They are both very
spoiled, very loved and
have terrific little
personalities.
Muffy
is our sweet little girl
who is a bichon frisé and
is truly adorable in every
sense of the word. She's
not overly keen on us
paying too much attention
to the cat, and will soon
win our undivided
attention by bringing us a
gift or a toy to play
with. Muffy is 13 years old
and we adopted her when we
took a trip to Québec one
summer. Much to the
surprise of our four sons,
we brought home this snow
white, fluff ball of
energy and she has brought
much delight and joy into
our lives since that day.
Thank you dear Muffy for
being such a wonderful
little pet and if ever
there was a dog born with
a soul, you my little
angel certainly have one.

K.C.
(short for Killer Cat) is
an orange tabby. His story
is a happy one because he
was a stray at our
Northland Retreat. He was
abandoned, starving and
most of all, unloved. As
the summer months wore on
and gave way to autumn,
the cottagers one by one,
closed up their comfy
summer retreats and soon
we were the only ones
left. Being the clever
feline that K.C. is, he
soon realized where there
was a soft touch with a
generous supply of food
and adopted us as his very
own. With the prospects of
the usual harsh northern
winter upon us, we decided
that our little orange
tabby wouldn't survive, so
allowed him to
adopt us and we brought him
home.
Sadly
K.C. has crossed over to
the rainbow bridge this
past summer (2007). He is
greatly missed and I am so
very grateful that I was
given the opportunity to
provide him with a warm
and loving home for 12
years. He is resting
peacefully in our backyard
at the crest of the
ravine.

I couldn't
close off this page
without saying something
about our
"Rascal"
She was
brought home in a shopping
bag by my
son when he spent a day at
Centre Island. She was a tiny, wee
ball of black and white fur which
hardly looked like a
rabbit. I loved her from
the minute I laid eyes on
her. Rabbits are cuddly
looking but can be very
nasty little creatures but
not our sweet "L'il
Bunny Girl". She was
a little angel sent to us
and never bit nor scatched
anyone in the 8 years she
was with us. She took a
shining to K.C. and Muffy
took a shining to Rascal.
The three, who are all
normally natural enemies
got along famously
together. In the last days
of Rascal's life she
stopped eating and was
obviously very ill. I took
her to the vet where we
discovered she had a large
tumour in her tummy and
she was bleeding
internally. Regretfully we
decided to put her
"down". I miss
our "L'il Bunny
Girl" and a day
doesn't go by that I don't
think about her. If there
is a heaven for bunnies, I
know for a fact she is
there. Rest peacefully
sweet bunny, I miss you so
much.
