On February 1st, 2004 our family was blessed with the arrival of a beautiful baby girl, whom I am very proud to call my granddaughter. Weighing in at 7lbs 2oz, this sweet little girl captured and melted all our hearts and brought tears of joy to our eyes.

My heart brims with joy and unconditional love as I hold her in my arms and she is in my thoughts every waking minute of my day. She is truly a gift from God and will always be so very special and precious to me. I promise you my dear sweet little one, that I will be the best grandma I can be... always and forever.

My sweet Taylor gave me a book for my birthday called "The Love Between Grandmothers and Grandchildren". There was one little item that jumped out and grabbed me because it represents everything I hold dear and look forward to. Here's what it reads:

"The clock ticks. The fire sputters. The cat sings. There's a knock. Open the door ~ and there's a smile and outstretched arms and a splodgy kiss and rush of feet. And a day transformed."
